2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Alfahosting GmbH, Ankerstraße 3b, 06108 Halle (Saale), Germany. When you visit this website, the server automatically records technical data in log files, such as your IP address, the date and time of access, the pages or files requested, the referring website, and your browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website). The log files are stored for a limited period determined by our hosting provider and are then deleted. We have concluded a data processing agreement with our hosting provider.

3. SSL/TLS encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the lock icon in your browser’s address bar.

4. Cookies and visitor statistics

To understand how this website is used, we use Koko Analytics, a statistics tool that runs on our own server. It works without cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not transfer any data to third parties. It records page views and referring websites in aggregated form. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in improving our website).

5. Fonts

All fonts on this website are hosted on our own server. No connection to Google or other font providers is established when you visit this website.

6. Contact by email and contact form

If you contact us by email or via the contact form on this website, we process the details you provide in order to answer your request. For the contact form, these are your name, email address, the topic and chapter you select, and your message. Messages sent via the form are not stored on this website; they are sent by email to our mailbox, which is hosted by Microsoft (Microsoft 365). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR otherwise (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete your data once it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Downloads

You can download the chapters of the Sharing Goals Manual without registration. Apart from the server log files described above, no personal data is collected.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Hessischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
